1. What we collect
chainBreed collects only the data needed to etch, verify, and support credentials. That includes:
- Account data — email, name, organization, and role for users who sign in to the dashboard.
- Credential data — the payload your registry submits for each credential (registration numbers, lineage, test results, etc.).
- Billing data — handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- Operational logs — IP, user agent, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention.
2. What goes on the blockchain
chainBreed anchors a cryptographic hash of each credential payload to Polygon mainnet, along with the issuer wallet address, credential type, species, DNA flag, and etch timestamp. The blockchain record contains no personally identifiable information about animals, owners, or breeders. The full payload remains in our backend.
On-chain records cannot be deleted. Credentials can be marked revoked by their original issuer; the original record remains visible alongside the revocation entry.
3. Third-party processors
- Supabase — primary database and auth (US region).
- Stripe — subscription billing and one-time payments.
- Pinata — IPFS storage for credential attachments.
- Brevo — transactional email and newsletter.
- Plausible — privacy-friendly analytics; no cookies, no cross-site tracking.
- Polygon Labs — public blockchain network hosting the BreedRegistry contract.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run third-party trackers on our site.
4. Your rights
You can request a copy of your account data, correct it, or delete it. Deletion removes account, billing, and operational records; it does not delete the on-chain anchors of credentials your registry has already etched, which are public and immutable by design.

5. Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in to the dashboard. No advertising cookies. No tracking pixels.
6. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced via email to active dashboard accounts at least 30 days before they take effect.
